A central theme of the discussion was transparency and growth through collaboration.

Odwa Ndyaluvane reflected on Developmenthub’s early days in joining the AWS program, noting that they initially lacked knowledge in running a fully functional business and managing a growing team. He highlited how the program helped them structure the company and implement strong governance practices and policies as the business grew.

The panelist was asked to reflect on the biggest challenges they overcame after joining the program and as they adjusted.

In response, the panel stressed the importance of flexibility in the workplace and the need to adapt to change. They noted that, as they bring in young people with new ideas and fresh perspectives, it is crucial to have incentive programs in their businesses to motivate teams. Additionally, they emphasised the significance of building a strong internal culture and creating a conducive, character-driven work environment within their organisations.

“The AWS program significantly transformed our business strategy and helped position Developmenthub more effectively as a brand. I would like to advise the new cohort to read thoroughly,” highlighted Unathi Mcube, the Head of Operations at Developmenthub.

Adding to that, Odwa Ndyaluvane encouraged everyone to utilise all available AWS resources, to review and understand their contracts, and to commit to meeting all their key learning and performance indicators.

This session was not only insightful but deeply engaging. It highlighted the journey from startup to AWS Trusted Partner and inspired incoming businesses to make the most of the opportunities provided.

In his closing remarks, Odwa Ndyaluvane shared Developmenthub’s challenges and the strategies they used to overcome them. He encouraged the new cohort to focus on solving real customer problems, understand that there is no one-size-fits-all solution, and to prioritise compliance and continuous learning. He highlighted that AWS provides all the guidance needed.
