Role Overview:

As a Junior Full-Cycle Account Executive, you will play a vital role in generating new business revenue by owning the entire sales cycle. From prospecting, qualification, to closing. This role is ideal for someone with foundational sales experience who wants to grow within a high-performance environment across multiple service lines, including bespoke software development, AWS cloud services, IT Resourcing and SaaS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Source and qualify new leads via outbound and inbound strategies (LinkedIn, email, cold calling)
  • Client Discovery: Conduct client discovery meetings to understand needs and identify the right-fit service or product
  • Solution Presentation: Deliver tailored demos and proposals that align with client objectives across our Bespoke Software Development, Cloud, IT Resourcing & SaaS offering.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Manage objections, help structure pricing, and close deals aligned with monthly MRR targets.
  • CRM & Pipeline Management: Keep all sales activities up to date in the CRM (e.g., HubSpot or Freshsales)
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with the sales team, marketing, delivery teams, and customer success for seamless handovers
  • Learning & Development: Continuously participate in product, technical, and sales training (AWS certifications, SalesHack.io immersion, etc.)

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years in a full-cycle or inside sales role (preferably in software development, IT, Cloud, SaaS, or digital services)
  • Strong understanding of the sales process from lead generation to closing
  • Ability to clearly articulate value propositions and tailor messaging to different decision-makers (IT, Procurement, C-Suite)
  • Experience using CRM and sales engagement tools
  • Basic technical aptitude in Cloud, SaaS, or Software solutions
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Comfortable working toward aggressive but achievable targets
  • Must be based in Johannesburg or willing to work from the Hyde Park office

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in MarketingBusinessSalesInformation Systems, or a related field
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification – preferred or to be obtained within 2 months of hire
  • Sales or CRM-related training (e.g., HubSpot AcademyLinkedIn Sales NavigatorSandler Sales) – advantageous
  • Participation in a structured sales bootcamp, sales internship or shadowing program is a plus
